19 - Waste sorting and sending for recycling

(a)


Without prejudice to the local or national regulation on waste separation, adequate containers for waste separation by guests shall be available in the rooms and/or on each floor and/or at a central point of the tourist accommodation.

(b)


Waste shall be separated by the tourist accommodation into the categories required or suggested by the available local waste management facilities, with particular care regarding toiletries and hazardous waste e.g., toners, inks, refrigerating and electrical equipment, batteries, energy saving light bulbs, pharmaceuticals and fats/oils.
